Research shows that children with a migration background in Switzerland have one third of the opportunities of Swiss children to pass the hurdle of achieving a higher level tertiary education. Their families usually have limited ability to support them due to lower education levels, limited language skills and inability to afford private tutoring.
Since 2018 the ChagALL team have made significant contributions to enabling talented and motivated youngsters with a migration background – especially those from underprivileged families – to get off to a good start on their higher education. Dalyan supported ChagAll and the later ChagAll Initiative Fund with the aim to facilitate similar programs throughout Switzerland.
In 2021 various cantonal ChagALL programs merged into Allianz Chance+, a platform for a strong civil society network whom Dalyan is again supporting. Its team is committed to sustainably reducing structural inequalities in education through advocacy, pilot projects, political awareness-raising and research.
